150 Special Trains for Holi 2014, Schedule, Timings, Where to Book Online?
Indian Railways will run special holiday trains for the festival of Holi as the festive season began, like the case last year.

Just like the buses and the airlines, railways will also run premium trains on the dynamic fare system on busy routes. Before Christmas last year, railways had run a Premium train to Mumbai on an experimental basis and found the response very good with 35 to 40% occupancy.
After that, railways minister announced in the budget this year that trains will run on 17 such routes. "The fare for Premium trains is likely to increase depending on the demand intensity," an official told the media.
All set to make most of the festive rush, ahead of Holi, 4 trips on New Delhi-Mumbai route and 6 trips on New Delhi-Jammu Tawi route are planned.
A one way ticket to Mumbai from New Delhi is currently available at over Rs 7,000 and the prices are further expected to shoot up upto Rs 10,000.
The trains will only have AC II tier and AC III tier class of travel and can only be booked online with no provision for cancellation.
The trains will run non-stop between the destinations. "There are seasonal and occasion-specific instances when the demand for travel by certain trains goes up. On such occasions, passengers are prepared to pay more to undertake their journey," said Railway Minster, Mallikarjun Kharge in his budget speech in Parliament.
It is estimated that the Railways normally earns about Rs 19 lakh from a one-way journey on a train like Delhi-Mumbai Rajdhani.

The 04117 Allahabad- Anand Vihar T. Holi special train will depart from Allahabad on 19.03.2014 & 22.03.2014 (02 trips) at 11.45 p.m. to reach Anand Vihar T at 09.45 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, the 04118 Anand Vihar T – Allahabad Holi special train will depart from Anand Vihar T on 20.03.2014 & 23.03.2014 (02 trips) at 12.00 noon to reach Allahabadat 09.15 p.m. the same day.
Comprising of one AC II Tier, one A.C. The 04031 Delhi Jn.– Ambala daily Holi special train will depart from Delhi Jn. at 6.10 a.m. to reach Ambala at 10.50 a .m. the same day while in the return direction, the 04032 Ambala – Delhi Jn. daily Holi special train will depart from Ambala at 4.30 p.m. to reach Delhi Jn. at 9.00 p .m. the same day from 01.03.2014 to 31.03.2014 (31 trips in each direction)..
Consisting of one AC 2 Tier, one AC 3 Tier, 9 Sleeper Class, 6 General Class & two 2nd Class Cum luggage Van coaches, the 04031/04032 Delhi Jn.– Ambala – Delhi Jn. daily Holi special train will stop at Subzi Mandi, Adarsh Nagar Delhi, Narela, Sonipat, Ganaur, Samalkha, Panipat, Karnal, Kurukshetra & Shahabad Markanda stations enroute in both the directions.

Daily MEMU Holi special train will depart from Saharanpurat 04.45 a.m. to reach Ambala Cantt. at 06.30 a.m. the same day, while in the return direction, the 04512 Ambala Cantt.- Saharanpur Daily MEMU Holi special train will depart from Ambala Cantt. at 08.35 p.m. to reach Saharanpur at 10.35 p.m. the same day from 01.03.2014 to 31.03.2014 (31 trips in each direction).
